Christie Visit Back On In Stafford For Thursday, After Cancellation Last Week

by Patricia A. Miller

Governor Chris Christie's office announced late today that he will meet with Sandy-impacted homeowners at the Stafford Volunteer Fire Co. at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Christie abruptly cancelled the same event last week - with less than 20 minutes notice - after the "Bridgegate" story broke.

Christie will be joined by state Department of Community Affairs Director Richard J. Constable III at the firehouse at 133 Stafford Avenue, according to the press release.

The governor's office on Tuesday announced that more federal funding was being released for the Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevation and Mitigation (RREM) program and the Homeowner's Resettlement program.
