DART Coalition To Host Two Drug And Alcohol Seminars In Waretown

Registration deadline is June 5

The DART Coalition of Ocean County, a Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention grant-funded community coalition, will host “Building Healthy Families,” a free two-session program for parents from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  on Monday, June 9 and on Monday, June 16.

The program will be held at Waretown Elementary School, 64 Railroad Avenue, in Waretown.

Parents will learn about how to enhance communication skills with their child; current drug and alcohol trends; how to resolve conflict and anger; how to recognize the signs of drug and alcohol use in their child; protective factors; and how to build resiliency.

Parents must attend both sessions. A complimentary dinner will be served and free child care will be provided for children 3 and up. Gift cards will be awarded to families that complete the two-session program.
