Disaster Recovery Centers in New Jersey will be closed for Presidents' Day this upcoming Monday, Feb. 18, according to a release from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loan outreach and business recovery centers will also be closed.
The centers, opened to assist victims of Hurricane Sandy, will re-open and return to normal business hours the next day, Tuesday, Feb. 19.
While residents won't be able to find answers in person Monday, help and information are still available online or by phone. Additionally:
Survivors can ask questions about their SBA disaster home or business loan applications by calling 800-659-2955 or TTY 800-877-8339 or emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.

We are the people that contribute to every dollar that the government has, and we should have say in what we want to do with our homes, Fema should not mandate what we do, especially the people without flood insurance and did not get anything from Fema, we are on our own. Let us move foward and get our homes repaired so we can live in them and enjoy our beach homes.

Storm hits 11/12 - 100 - 200 homes lost. 500+ homes dammaged 1/13 - homes lost - insurence claims + FEMA begins 6/13 insureance still playing games, FEMA unable to help 1000 people in distress. 6/13 property taxes begin to increase for all residents 12/13 200 people who could not afford their homes, because failed FEMA programs, failed Insurence agreements, Failed Mortgage company - not working with the home owner - people begin to walk away to let their dammaged homes.. block by block of emptyness. 6/2014 another 500- 700++ people who could not afford their property tax increase = after endless run around games looking for help - trying to make ends meet - give up - also begin walked from their houses.. ..? - Forclosures begin to happen all over town and sorunding towns who were also affected, Attorneys get hit with people filling Bankruptcies by 2015 - over 1000 - 2000 people - would have left their homes and walked away.. leaving towns to fall into Bankruptcey as well. This is NJ, something like this can happen... now it's up to the locals to avoid something like this from ever happening.
Not a supporter the last election. But I think I agree with him on 1 statement..FEMA is a waste of taxpayer money..It was a waste of money during Katrina..And will always be a waste of tax payer money
