Free Superstorm Sandy Insurance Claim Seminar to be Held in Lacey

Registration is required for the Thursday, Feb. 7 seminars at the Lacey Elks Lodge

A free Superstorm Sandy Insurance Claim Seminar will be held at the Lacey Elks Lodge on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Attorney Joseph A. Porcelli will run the seminar. Porcelli has already offered eight seminars at the Ocean County Library in Toms River where more than 225 people attended.

“Many homeowners and businesses have sustained considerable property damage in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy and since most property damage claims have not been resolved as of yet, there is still plenty of time to seek legal advice prior to reporting a claim or while the claim is being adjudicated,” a news release said.

Residents who are not satisfied with their insurance company’s assessment and reimbursement, there is time to appeal, the release said.

Each seminar will consist of prepared remarks by various experts, including Porcelli and a minimum of a one-hour question and answer session.
