Buying Local in Barnegat Locations Announced

Barnegat Township Committeeman Albert Bille recently announced a program which he has dubbed "Buy in Barnegat," and this weekend the list of participating stores was announced. 

Bille has been working with the Barnegat Chamber of Commerce to encourage residents to "shop locally here in Barnegat."

Under the "Buy in Barnegat" program, Bille said interested parties will be encouraged to visit the township clerk's office where they will be able to obtain a free card, which will entitle them to certain discounts at the participating stores and restaurants - 20 so far in all - in May.

Bille called the program a "first step toward a vibrant and healthy commercial sector." 

This promotion will be running from May 1, 2013 through May 31, 2013. As of now, more than 30 businesses in Barnegat are participating in this promotion (see below), and the township will be posting an updated list on the township website at www.barnegat.net.
