We're only a little more than a month away from the start of the school year, so check out the schedule of days off for students and teachers
Summer's flying by, and now's a good time for families planning trips to take a good look at the upcoming school year. Here's the schedule of days off for students and teachers over the course of the coming year:
2011

- Sept. 1-2: Teachers’ Professional Development Days – full days for teachers
- Sept. 5: School closed – Labor Day
- Sept. 6: Early dismissal for students; professional development for teachers
- Sept. 7: Early dismissal for students; professional development for teachers
- Sept. 8: Early dismissal for students; professional development for teachers
- Oct. 10: School closed – Columbus Day
- Oct. 17-21 Early dismissal for students – parent/teacher conferences
- Nov. 10-11: School closed – NJEA Convention/Veterans' Day
- Nov. 23: Early dismissal – Thanksgiving Recess
- Nov. 24-25: School closed – Thanksgiving Recess
- Dec. 23: Early dismissal
- Dec. 24-31 School closed – Winter Recess

- May 28: School closed – Memorial Day
- June 14: Early dismissal for students – last day of school
- June 18: Last day for teachers
