Less than a day after Gov. Chris Christie delivers on Tuesday his budget address for fiscal year 2015, he’ll be holding a town hall in his home county of Morris.

The governor’s office announced Christie will conduct his 111th town hall in Long Hill Township on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Christie will highlight his budget and reform initiatives following the address, and answer questions from the audience.

Christie held his first town hall of 2014 on Thursday in Middletown, where the focus was on Superstorm Sandy recovery aid and the red tape New Jersey has had to fight through with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The topic of “Bridgegate” – a scandal surrounding the governor’s administration is regarding Fort Lee lane closures to the George Washington Bridge in September 2013 being handled as political retribution – was ignored by audience members.

Averaging more than 25 town hall sessions each year he’s been in gubernatorial offices, the meetings have become stages for the governor and New Jersey residents to interact less formally, often times bringing out Christie’s subtle and not-so-subtle side.

Doors open for the event at 9:30 a.m. and seating is on a first come, first served basis. No bags of any kind are permitted and all personal items are subject to a search.

The event will be held in the Long Hill Community Center at 1229 Valley Road and South Warren Avenue in Stirling. Residents are encouraged to RSVP to townhall.longhill@gov.state.nj.us.

Why isn't he doing town halls in Little ferry? I'm sure they'd love to see him. So over a year later he can't straighten out the Sandy fund mess? Yet gives millions from the Sandy fund to towns that had no damage. He can't run New Jersey or even his own office. ... and he wants to run for Prez? Ridicules!

Report from yesterday's photo opp at the Shore, filled with his shills, softball questions, state troopers intimidating citizens, etc. ==> http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/21/nyregion/hurricane-sandy-aid-not-bridge-scandal-is-focus-as-christie-meets-voters.html?hpw&rref=politics

Its great how the Obama admin can lie, cheat and steal, but people are upset about a lane on a bride being closed. I guess it doesn't matter his administration was involved in a possible cover up in the murder of 4 us citizens in benghazi - but the media seems to care about a traffic jam. Remember, it was just a youtube video that caused the violence. What a great country. "If you want your plan, you can keep your plan". Enough said.
Chuck Cumella February 21, 2014 at 06:20 PM
He continues to ignore the hard questions. He continues to ignore the group stop FEMA now. We will not be ignored. They will hear us. It's national.

Most bullies are really cowards anyway.

How can we not forget the comment by Biden the fear monger....."you'all gonna be put back in chains if they win"
Jersey February 21, 2014 at 07:23 PM
Obama didn't order security to stand down and therefore cause the attack. He or his staff may have bungled the messaging, but they didn't cause the attack. Christie and his administration obviously took out their political anger on innocent civilians. A mere "traffic jam" to you - a week of kids getting to school late and hours of jams for people trying to get to work for others. Dangerous to citizens because of emergency services. Petty. Irresponsible. Not representative of leadership. And I voted for him. :/
Sir February 21, 2014 at 08:39 PM
The embassy had asked for more security and Obama was aware of this in a security briefing. Less than 72 hours later the attacked happened. They blamed it on a YouTube video. Do they really think we are that stupid? I guess so because when he said "if you like your plan you can keep your plan" everyone believed him. Go figure.

Sir, pull your head out of your most southern orifice....no one cares about your allegiance to a bully,a liar and a cheat......the crimes Christie has committed regarding the bridge closures, the threats in Hoboken, the misallocation of Sandy funds is WAY enough to have the bastard impeached. Wake up!

"Impeach Christie.."
Selene February 22, 2014 at 12:31 AM
BTW if you are really ignorant allow me to enlighten you about Christie Town Hall meetings ALL STAGED! Do you believe these are honest people gathering at their town hall to ask the local Gov. a few questions? Everyone is screened who attends and everyone who asks a question is coached. An occassional fly in the ointment gets in the way like a hard working school teacher or a vet and Christie SLAMS them to the ground with his "NJ directness" i.e BULLYING........what a loser. Impeach the bastard, he's a disgrace. Unless of course we have become a society of victims who don't have the balls to stand up to a bully...which is sadly the course we are taking.....

And btw MHS is turning into a high crime zone with all of the fights breaking out.

Sir, your obsessive fixation on one thing while ignoring the rest of the world is worrisome. It could be a sign of autism.
S. Jono February 22, 2014 at 11:36 AM
I suppose you have to weigh obsessions with Benghazi against lying to, misinforming, and misleading the entire country into starting a war in Iraq. I, too, feel that leaders should be held accountable.

I liked my plan and I kept it. What's the problem?

If people want to discuss issues other than Gov. Christie, there are lots of other places to do that other than this thread. Christie has a lot to answer for: bridgegate, Sandy recovery mismanagement, the Hunterdon County prosecutor who was fired for investigating a corruption case against the county sheriff (Christie supporter), and more. I plan on attending this town hall at Long Hill Community Center, and I encourage all of you to do so as well. Don't be afraid of bullies.
Nucky Thompson February 23, 2014 at 10:36 AM
How about a Town Hall in Fort Lee, Governor Sleeze!
Mac February 23, 2014 at 10:49 AM
Christie has demonstrated in spades that the true checks and balances of American government are corruption, corruption and more corruption. The American people could do something about it if they truly cared but where are they going to find representation that doesn't personally represent them so well? It's not the corruption that bothers voters. It's who benefits from the corruption that seems to cause all the public whining.
Sir February 23, 2014 at 02:03 PM
We don't do any thing about it with the federal government. If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.
Nucky Thompson February 23, 2014 at 05:17 PM
If you like your shrink, you can keep your shrink, but you've got to keep your appointments! It's beginning to show! Keep taking the meds too!
Clay Thomas February 23, 2014 at 06:52 PM
Long Hill, you've got to be joking right? What, are there twelve people living there? Is your "goon squad" on vacation? C'mon Gov. Numbnuts, nobody believes you anymore. Are you going to stage some more cute little kids? Hands off, please! If you had balls as big as the rest of you, you'd go to Fort Lee and answer the tough questions! It's becoming obvious what a complete loser you really are. There's a bridge in Long Hill, let's hope the lanes are closed! You SUCK!

Jeb Bush in 2016???? If the American people are that naive to put another Bush into office then I say let's first throw Jr in prison. http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0505-11.htm

Everyone knows the only reason the Democrat Party haters (public service union members) have reenergized their criticism of Christie is bc he temporarily polled better than Hillary in some ridiculously early Prez straw polls. Dems should just thank CC for hugging Obamao and getting him re-elected - and move on to the next potential RINO candidate. He did himself in with the hug.
