Ocean Acres Paving Project Moved to Saturday

Stafford Township will pay an additional $6,000 to have the paving of Beacon Drive done on an upcoming Saturday, it was announced at Tuesday’s meeting.
The additional funds were approved be resolution by the Township Council.

Township Administrator James Moran said the decision to pave on the weekend was based on a recommendation by the township engineer. Several doctors’ offices are located on Beacon and based on the amount of traffic that is generated, “it is impossible to pave during the week,” he said.

The more than $300,000 paving project in the Ocean Acres area is currently underway causing lanes closure along Route 72 from the Garden State Parkway west in both directions.
