Sail into History in Beach Haven this Weekend
Clearing skies mean smooth sailing as NJ's official tall ship make port on LBI.
BEACH HAVEN -- Calling all sailors, pirates, oystermen and those who just love the open seas:
Set sail aboard the A.J. Meerwald, an authentically restored 1928 Delaware Bay Oyster Schooner. Once on board, you'll get to experience a piece of history on New Jersey's Official Tall Ship by helping the crew hoist the sails. Learn about sailing and the local environment.

Morning or afternoon sails are leaving from the Centre Street dock are going on through the weekend at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $40/Adult; $35/Senior (60+); $20/Child (3-12 yrs)
Reservations for all sails are recommended. Tickets may be purchased online by calling 856-785-2060. The ship is also available for charters. Anyone interested in a private sail should call for more information.

Sail to Atlantic City! Passengers are also welcome on a one-way transit adventure sail from Beach Haven to her next port-of-call, Atlantic City, on Monday, July 23. The Meerwald will leave Beach Haven at 9 a.m. and will arrive at historic Gardner's Basin in Atlantic City around 3 p.m. (Return transportation to LBI is not included.)
The Bayshore Discovery Project operates the authentically restored 1928 Delaware Bay oyster schooner. The three-mast vessel travels from port-to-port every summer with a small crew, providing sailing excursions that raise funds to maintain the ship.
