Four Seasons In Barnegat Planning Community Cleanup On Saturday

The Four Seasons Neighborhood Watch Group, in conjunction with Barnegat Police Department, will hold a neighborhood cleanup at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

"We have had great results since we started our Four Seasons Neighborhood Watch," President Robert Avallone said. "We have increased patrols by Barnegat Police Department and have seen immediate improvement in keeping the area free of those who don’t belong in here. Our goal is to get our neighbors together to help beautify our neighborhood."

Participants are asked to bring brooms and garden gloves, he said.

"We will be sweeping all sidewalks and curbs, picking up trash in the streets and adjacent areas," Avallone said.

Garbage bags will be provided at sign up. The event starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Four Seasons clubhouse. The rain date is Sunday.

Barnegat Township will provide bulk pickup for residents who want to get rid of unwanted items.

Participants will be treated to a pizza party at the clubhouse after the event. The winner of the $50 gift card will be chosen at the party.
