Double Trouble Presentation Slated For April 3 At Stafford Branch of Ocean County Library

Take a journey back into the past and learn about the historic Double Trouble Village in Double Trouble State Park in Bayville.

Park naturalist Andrew Anderson will discuss the village's long and storied history that dates back to the colonial era at 10:30 a.m. on April 3 in the meeting room at the Stafford branch.

Double Trouble began with the milling of prized Atlantic white cedar trees for shipbuilding. A new industry emerged during the Civil War with the planting of cranberry bogs.

Anderson present the history with dramatic slides and stories.
