SUNDAY - "War of the Worlds" - a re-enactment of Orson Welles' 1938 broadcast that panicked America, 2 p.m., Mancini Hall, Ocean County Library, Toms River. Presented by the WREP Players. Admission is free.
SUNDAY - Superstorm Sandy - One Year Later, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Ocean County College Theater, 1000 College Drive, Toms River. The commemorative event is hosted by the Ocean County Long-Term Recovery Group. Residents, spiritual and emotional providers, responders and officials on various local, county, state and federal levels will share hope and healing for Sandy survivors. Speakers and musical presentations, and community agencies will be available to provide information for residents. A special program is planned for children. Refreshments will also follow.
