WEDNESDAY - Surfing the Jersey Shore: Where We Have Been, Where We Are Going, 7 p.m., Long Beach Island branch of the Ocean County Library.
A panel of members of the surfing community will discuss the evolution of surfing over the last 50 years, and how it has been a source of community identity at the Jersey Shore. The short film, East Coast Rising: A Surfer’s Tale of Hurricane Sandy (courtesy of Transition Productions), will be screened. Discussion will be moderated by Paul Hart, Executive Director of the Tuckerton Seaport. Please be aware this film contains mature language when making your decision to attend. SATURDAY - 7th Annual Fall Harvest Festival and Wine Event, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Manahawkin Lake Park. Rain date is Sunday. Sponsored by the Stafford Township Recreation Department.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY - 30th Annual Chatsworth Cranberry Festival, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Chatsworth. The Cranberry Festival is a celebration of New Jersey's cranberry harvest, the Pine Barrens, crafts and local culture.
Admission to the festival is FREE.
A donation of $5.00 will be accepted if you use the highly recommended parking area at the school off Second Street.
