Stafford Founder's Day 50th Anniversary Set For Saturday

Stafford Township is celebrating its 50th Annual Founders Day on Saturday and you're invited.

The event will start off with a brunch at the Stafford Firehouse for residents 65 and older. The hometown parade kicks off at 10 a.m. and runs along Stafford Avenue to Route 9.

Festivities are set to begin at the Manahawkin Lake Park immediately following the parade. Activities will include opening ceremonies, craft and food vendors, Local businesses, entertainment by Thomas Wesley Stern, the Miss Stafford Pageant, inflatable water rides in the lake and games for children.

Evening events will begin at the Doc Cramer Sports Complex starting at 4 p.m. and will include food vendors, a pie-eating contest and the Little Miss Stafford Pageant and Little Town Crier, along with inflatable rides, carnival rides and train and games for all ages.

The day ends with a fireworks display at dusk.
