Me and my wife are regulars for breakfast and sometimes lunch.Always friendly service,Angel and Christina bend over backwards to make this a family friendly place. We enjoy the staff, and the good food,if you want a cookie cutter diner, this isn't it. They know their customers, and cater to their needs. If you knew the previous place, this is 100% better. Chris and Angel always go out of their way to make you feel welcome,Kathy is the icing on the cake! If someone has an ax to grind maybe spell check should be her first step. Good Luck and Keep up the good hard work!

THe food is good but the owner chritina needs to be friendlier and smile maybe once, wow heavy. She is always watching the money and the register she should be smilig and greeting customers while watching her register.
Only if you lack the gasoline to drive to the Stafford Diner.
Close and handy. This place would die a quick death were there a real Jersey Diner in the vicinity.
Well Charles & Rich, I must admit I was totally wrong about my review for the Barnegat Diner that I had placed in here recently. A very good friend & I went there for dinner on Thursday evening. Many people seemed to be taking advantage of the early bird special. I ordered chicken salad platter, It was very good. The chicken salad was full of chunks the way it should be made- but like it was put into a blender. My friend had also come with me to Michael's By The Bay. He was in the mood for a chef salad but he remembered my horrible salad that I had at Michael's by The Bay. So he also ordered a wrap. When the chef salad was served, we could not believe it. It was served in a huge salad bowl with cold, crispy iceberg lettuce & a lot of cold cuts. He was bearly able to finish it. So the wrap was today's lunch at work. Throughout our meal, the waitress came over 3 times to make sure everything was ok. When we paid our bill, we found out it was the owner. She told me that her & her husband were the 3rd owner. She's from north jersey like me. Just wish they offered the cakes-pies-pastries of the north jersey diners. So............. I must admit I was wrong- definitely give this place a try.
this place is definitely not the same since it was sold- first owner was great & the cakes were fantastic!! go to Horizon instead & even Forked River Diner
Tim- I just looked the meaning of DINER- a small usually inexpensive restaurant with a long counter and booths and housed in a building designed to resemble a dining car in a train- there is no mention at all about the hours- there is a counter in the rear of the Barnegat Diner & there are booths so I guess you can call it a diner.
try the Horizon Diner in Manahawkin- Sand Castle Diner in Bayville or Stafford Diner on route 72 in Manahawkin
Angel & Christina do a Great Job. Friendly atmosphere, Tasty Fod and Good Prices. I enjoy joking with Angel and his staff when I get to go there. Keep up the Nice Job.
Nice menu, good prices, good food, great staff and servers. It's a small town diner/restaurant that in my opinion does a good job of being just that. It's close by and convenient, which also makes it attractive when looking for a place to eat
Now that the Hearthside and Sweet Jennys are gone, what's left? BTW, when are they going to rebuild Sweet Jenny's? Nothing's been done in six months, and it's becoming an eyesore.

This diner is wonderful!! The staff is great and the the food even better! We love the portion sizes, always left overs for lunch the next day.
The owners Kristine and Angel make you feel like your at home. They are two of the nices people I have ever meet! Also, if your in business or ever need to rent a room for any reason the private room is perfect. When I did mortgages I would always rent the room for presentations.
As for Jennifer's review, your totally wrong! Kristine is the best, she's always friendly, smiling and making sure you are happy.
