Barnegat Township is located on West Bay Avenue in Barnegat, New Jersey. It was 1609 when Henry Hudson stumbled upon this town and called in Barndegat, which later evolved into Barnegat. By the 1750s families started making their homes in Barnegat. Barnegat is an excellent community to live in. It has a brand new high school, one middle school and four elementary schools.
