Perhaps you heard an incomplete story, e=mc2. I don't think that anyone is disputing the wonderfulRead More work the fire department did that night (and does on a continual basis). I won't (and can't) comment on the specifics of that night, but I do note that you obviously have enough savvy to listen to the content of radio communications with Ocean County Sheriff's Department. You should (and I'm sure do) have the knowledge that there are other channels and other communications that occur that may not have been recorded that night, and these might offer additional facts you are not privvy to. In the end, what I think is a real shame is that you have come here under the anonymity of a pseudonym and called Mr. Mondie, posting under his real name, a liar.

I'm a third year medical student, so believe me when I say that I have bigger fish to fry than toRead More participate in petty small town BS. But I will say that unless you were on that scene you have no idea what happened... listening to radioreference.com doesn't count. I am happy that there was a positive outcome, but I am confused as to why there is palpable animosity toward other public service agencies.

Yes I can confirm that a third shock was delivered while our EMS first responder was on scene tryingRead More to secure an airway and a fourth was delivered as I was bagging the patient. My point here isn't to get into a superficial argument about who deserves credit and what measures were used. I merely posted saying a thanks to the members of the squad who were a part of caring for this patient and played a part in his care. If you or Mr. Giles begrudge a thank you then that's your decision.

Such good news. The migrating birds are moving ahead but those that were here during Sandy areRead More still confused and very edgy. But to watch the Osprey rebuild and maintain their nests makes me happy that they are not burdened with things like Biggert-Waters. They are left in peace to return on their own terms to this area which loves them.

Where do we go to get some of this money? or will this be denied too?
Erric L Zdzchowski May 23, 2013 at 04:23 pm
Did anyone read the article? Yeah it's been tough for lots of people (not businesses though) gettingRead More money ... "The organizers decided to donate any money raised to the Mary Pat Christie’s Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, the American Legion post in Keyport, and the Brick Hurricane Sandy Relief fund, which provided the starting and ending points of the ride, respectively."

First of all, Thank you Pete! I followed the program through the seventies and it is truly one ofRead More the greatest environmental success stokes ever! We had our own mini-success stories here in Point a few years ago. An osprey couple began building a nest on the half-painted water tower which caused a flurry of media attention. The pair successfully raised two young. But when they returned for a report performance the following year, the tower was no longer "available". They resettled to a newly-built tower at the Nellie Bennett marsh and eventually fledged two, then three, then two young over the next few years from a pole near Sea Gull Terrace in Sunshine Harbor. Now the sad news: Good ole Sandy took away that nest site and the pair has not returned. I can only hope that, like so many of us are trying to do, they are able to "bounce back" and be able to resettle nearby.

jennyp... its good family fun. Yes it does attract alot of different people. But think about it,Read More they have to have the bucks to spend because its not a cheap night if you are going to pay 6 bucks a piece to get in and then feed the family, go on the rides and play the wheels. 25 years we have been going... use to love to sit and listen to the 50's group that they use to have. We brought our kids and their friends and now we are bringing our grandkids.... Good family fun.
