FEMA to announce new standards for flood elevations on Dec. 10

Some useful tidbits on home elevations and FEMA aid from a recent area town hall meeting in a riverfront town: By a show of hands at a recent area town hall meeting, more than 100 people in Oceanport are considering raising their homes that were flooded in superstorm Sandy. Some have already met with contractors to do the work and gotten estimates. One resident said he is scheduled to raise his home on Monday. Wolf house movers may be cheaper then many others, but i have spoken with about ten home owners in oceanport who have used their services. Wolfs quotes were in the 5,000 dollars cheaper range . What they dont tell you is that thet will destroy your entire landscape of your home. Which can cost thousands to repair, which they do not do.
