Recreational boat ran aground early Monday morning
A Coast Guard crew rescued three boaters early Monday morning after their boat ran aground in Little Egg Harbor Bay behind Beach Haven. The Coast Guard received a call at 5:33 a.m. Monday when the owner of the 34-foot Naughty Girl called watchstanders via marine radio. He reported the boat ran aground and was taking on water, according to a statement from Coast Guard Public Affairs Detachment Atlantic City. A 25-foot response boat from Coast Guard Station Beach Haven arrived on scene and took the three people off the boat and transported them to Great Bay Marina in Tuckerton.
