King of Kings Providing Help for Those in Need

Peanut butter, firewood, and space heaters on the top of the list wanted for donations, in addition to some clothing items and monetary contributions.

After a burglary earlier this summer, a heart attack in August, and now Sandy hurling three trees at her house, Forked River resident Jackie Vilichka is wondering if she is being tested. "I look up [at the sky] sometimes and say, 'Lord, are you testing me?'" Vilichka told Patch. But then, she said, she then gets her answer, in the form of her friends from King of King Church in Stafford Township. "The main help I have gotten has been from the elders at King of Kings, so He answers me." Vilichka was one of dozens of people making their way to King of Kings earlier this week, to pick up some of the goods that have been donated for people who need a hand during this trying time. UPDATE: Forked River Man ID'd as Electrocution Victim

Rich Grande pronounced dead after work-related accident in Manalapan

A Forked River man was electrocuted at around 10:30 a.m. Friday while working near the Rolling Thunder Horse Farm on Daum Road in Manalapan, according to Monmouth County officials.  Rich Grande, 20, was an employee of Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), according to assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Marc LeMieux. Grande was reportedly electrocuted from a high-tension power line, police said. Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid and Manalapan police were dispatched to the scene where CPR was performed on Grande.
