Family owned, Jersey based and great stores. So glad the one in Beach Haven will reopen.

    Hi John
Not a typo I was quoting Mr. Dunlea. We have featured stories on the Beach Haven West Community Association https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beach-Haven-West-Community-Association in the past. In fact, Joanna Connelly's BHWCA volunteers showed up a my house when they found out I was wiped out by Sandy.
And yes her group is still very much in the recovery effort, as are Jetty, Stafford Strong and others. All of whom deserve credit and thanks for their efforts.

    Martha:
We at the Patch did not see the tabled ordinance and don't know what it stated. Therefore, we are in no position to report on it. When it resurfaces, and we have the facts in front of us, we shall do so.
Nor have we seen the study or confirmed why it was done. The mayor and council are on record calling for a study shortly after the recent increases were implemented. See the online video of the August meeting at approximately the 24 minute mark.
Until we know what the details are and what action the administration intends to take based on them, the Patch is in no position to accurately report on it.
Others are free to speculate, make accusations or comment on this or any other subject in the comments or by sending us tips. We however, will report only on stories that we can confirm.
At Tuesday's meeting, Sandy and the thousands of homes and businesses affected by the storm were the priority. So on a personal note, I can understand why that is where the township council's meeting was focused.

If you have access to the study and wish to share them, please do so or send them to me.
Right now Sandy and the thousands of homes and businesses affected by the storm are a priority for the entire township. So on a personal and professional level I can understand why that is where the township as a whole is focused.

Martha. As I do not have the ordinance or seen what it does or does not state, I am in no position to report on it. When it resurfaces and I have facts in front of me I shall do so.
I have not seen the study nor have I confirmed while it was done. Until I do or hear what action the administration intends to take based on it, I and the Patch are in no position to to report or comment on it as we have not seen it.
