Stafford police recently arrested a Barnegat man and charged him with DUI and endangering the welfare of a child after he struck two parked cars on Lighthouse Drive.

Police responded to a report at 9:08 on Aug. 1 of two cars struck on Lighthouse Drive in the Ocean Acres section of the township.

An investigation at the scene determined that Cardoso's 2006 white Ford Focus left the roadway and hit the two parked cars, according to the police report.

Both Cardoso and his eight-year-old son were taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Cardoso was taken to the Ocean County Jail after he was treated, police said.
