Tree and telephone lines are down after a possible tornado and severe thunderstorms roared through the township this morning,
Capt. Thomas Dellane said.
"It looks like a tornado came through here," Dellane said at 11:30 a.m. "It's not confirmed at this point. I've got trees down, downed wires."
Hilliard Boulevard off Route 9 is closed to traffic because of the storm, he said.
Other areas hard hit include Beach Avenue and Stafford Avenue, Dellane said.
